I’m 34, happily married and Catholic!

I share my home with one husband, one in-law (my mom) and three great dogs. I love writing, reading, gardening and learning about anything and everything.

That’s the nutshell version. As time (and mood!) permits, I’ll fill in a few more blanks here.

I’m a convert to Catholicism, finally making my profession of faith September 3, 2005. I love being Catholic, and feel very much at home - and am very thankful.

Much the same way, I love where I live; the Fraser Valley suits me fine. It’s amazing how my spiritual and geographical homes have aligned this way. I am no longer wandering, restless and unsettled. I have roots, and they get deeper every year.

I love my dogs, and don’t like mushrooms. I watch too much reality TV and don’t have enough self-discipline to sit down and read all the books I either buy or take out of the library. I need to work on this. The mushrooms - it’ll never happen.

Never say never. I eat broccoli now. AND brussels sprouts.

I’m a Mac. And I’m a PC. I can mouse with my left and my right hands.

I’m teaching myself how to be a graphic artist, and it seems to be working. If that doesn’t work out, I’m still a kick-a** assistant. I take chaos and create calm serenity. In the words of my employer, I’m unflappable.

However, I don’t think he’s noticed the quarterly trips to the company bathroom for a small cry when I get overwhelmed. If he ever reads this page, it’s not his fault. It’s a girl thing.

I waste time playing computer games, and am currently hooked on Sid Meier’s Pirates; my pirate can dance and sink Spanish galleons, thank you very much.

I used to play the Sims, but I’m finally losing interest. Good thing too - I have a small fortune in expansion packs sitting in my office closet.

I’m living the life I always wanted. And I thank God every day for the blessings in it all, good, bad and even ugly.
